A New Name, The Same Commitment

This month, we are officially changing our name from C&F Trade Consultants to Merkan LLC.

When I started C&F Trade Consultants in 2020, I had a simple goal: to help people and businesses navigate international trade with honesty, personal attention, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Since then, we've been fortunate to work with incredible clients and partners throughout the United States, Colombia, and beyond.

As our company has grown, I began to realize that our name no longer reflected everything that we do. We have evolved far beyond trade consulting alone. Today, our work includes logistics, international shipping, sourcing, import-export operations, and helping businesses build connections across borders.

The name Merkan comes from two ideas that are important to me: merchandise and trade, combined with the word "kan," which for me represents connection, understanding, and bringing people and markets together across cultures.

While our name is changing, one thing is not changing: who we are.

We remain the same company, with the same values, the same commitment to our clients, and the same belief that business is ultimately about trust and relationships. This new chapter simply gives us a name that better reflects the company we have become and the company we hope to continue building in the future.

To everyone who has trusted us since 2020, thank you. We are excited for what's ahead, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
